PAHA with PIASA on the Russo-Ukrainian war

On February 27, 2022, the Board of Directors of the Polish American Historical Association voted unanimously to endorse the following statement on the Russo-Ukrainian war issued by the Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences of America, a sister scholarly society with which PAHA shares many members in common: 

The Board of Directors of the Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences (PIASA) condemns the unprovoked Russian aggression against the independence and sovereignty of Ukraine. At the same time, it expresses its admiration for the inspired defense of Ukrainian democracy by its citizens, and by the Ukrainian political and military leadership. It calls upon the international community to hold the Russian government accountable for its violation of international norms and agreements, and to support by all means at its disposal the right of Ukrainians to determine their own fate.
