The program is built around Mr. Washington's new memoir Kentomania: A Black Basketball Virtuoso in Communist Poland (Amazon, 2021), which tells the story of his career as the first American to play professional basketball behind the Iron Curtain, leaving its mark on Polish cinema as well as sport.
