James S. Pula is a professor of history at Purdue University North Central in Westville, Indiana. He is the former editor of the scholarly journal Polish American Studies. According to Professor Pula, "Every major ethnic group has published an encyclopedia detailing its experiences and contributions to American society. Now, for the first time, Polish Americans have their own encyclopedia to preserve their heritage for their children and grandchildren."
